Translational Medicine Academy in Clinical Sciences and Innovation program

A 2-year in Clinical Trial Operations at Novartis offers you the unique opportunity to enter the pharmaceutical industry, gain insights and experience in the end-to-end clinical trial process, study design and trial types. You will receive training and mentoring by our clinical trial experts, be empowered to do and learn things and work in a diverse and inclusive environment. Next Generation Scientist (NGS) Program

Our Next Generation Scientist Program, in cooperation with the University of Basel, offers internships to talented and motivated scientists from low and middle income countries. The three-month program, which is conducted at the Novartis research site in Basel, aims to promote both the scientific and professional development of the researchers. Under the guidance of Novartis mentors, participants work on a jointly agreed scientific or clinical research project and participate in a Leadership Development Program to strengthen their communication and decision-making skills. In research projects, participants use the latest methods and work with leading experts in their respective fields with the aim of helping them to apply what they learn in their own countries.

TM DS Academy Fellowship

The Translational Medicine (TM) Data Science Academy is a unique graduate program which introduces data scientists with diverse backgrounds to the world of Life Science and Drug Discovery at Translational Medicine in Novartis Institutes for Biomedical Research. This is a 2-year, full-time data science program, where fellows are given the opportunity to develop skills in various aspects of life sciences research through rotations between 3 departments in TM: Biomarker Development (BMD); Preclinical Safety (PCS) and Pharmacokinetic Sciences (PKS). The program not only offers graduates insights into how their skills contribute to reimagining medicine, but helps to define the areas of work most of interest to them.

Chemical and Analytical Development (CHAD) Program

Gain unique insight into chemical research and development and drug substance supply. Join us and complete three rotations across three different functions in the space of two years.

Regulatory Affairs (RA) Postgraduate Program

Spend two years expanding your regulatory knowledge and setting yourself up for a potential future career at Novartis. Over the course of the program, you’ll become familiar with dossier content and will have opportunities to work on a variety of cross-functional projects.

Finance Rotation Program

The Finance Rotation Program (FRP) offers recent Master graduates in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or similar an exciting 3-year development opportunity. The program provides unique opportunities to accelerate your career development learn and practice skills across divisions and finance functions, development facilitated by professional training sessions, as well as regular coaching and mentoring. Supported by a strong community of FRP Alumni, Program Sponsors and Senior Managers, you will enjoy a steady learning curve in each of our 6 to 12 month rotations.

Translational Clinical Oncology (TCO) Program

This is an opportunity to work alongside experienced scientists and clinicians responsible for the design and conduct of early-stage clinical trials in cancer patients. The studies you’ll be working on investigate and define the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics (PK), pharmacodynamics (PD) and initial efficacy of small molecules, biologicals, or cell-based therapies.
