Neel Kankani

Neel was among the first group of patients in India to begin treatment in April 2002 with an advanced cancer medication from Novartis Oncology-treatment for a rare and usually fatal bone marrow cancer. Neel was notified that he had been accepted into GIPAP™-receiving the medicine by full donation-and began treatment. Within a few months, the disease went into remission.

A big event that Neel and his entire family looked forward to in July 2008 was the wedding of his younger brother, who was just a teenager when Neel was diagnosed in 2000. To think about when he danced at his brother's wedding makes Neel feel so wonderful and grateful for his new lease on life.
